Anaphylaxis / Epinephrine Training
Overview
The following resources may be used by local school divisions for policy development, training and meeting the needs of students experiencing an anaphylactic emergency in Virginia Public Schools.
The Virginia Board of Education approved Anaphylaxis Awareness: Severe Allergic Reaction Training for Students produced by students at McLean High School in Fairfax County at the October 2024 Board meeting. This video may be used by school divisions as part of a severe allergic reaction awareness program designed to meet the expectations of the 2020 Health Education Standards of Learning for Grade 9 and Grade 10 as required in § 22.1-274.2:1 of the Code of Virginia.
