Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CEIS) Survey
Introduction
School divisions that implement Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services (CEIS) are required to report on the number of children who received CEIS and the number of those children who subsequently received special education and related services under Part B during the preceding two-year period. States and LEAs must maintain these records for audit and monitoring purposes. For more information regarding the CEIS program, refer to Comprehensive Coordinated Early Intervening Services.

Updates and Reminders
The CEIS Survey opened on May 15, 2023, and it is required to be completed by all divisions. Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, the CEIS Survey has implemented three new changes:
- The required or mandatory field will be prepopulated based on significant disproportionality information.
- The number of students served will be prepopulated based on the Early Intervening Services Flag in the End of Year Student Record Collection.
- Divisions must explain in detail each CEIS activity that was funded in the space that is provided within the survey. Additional documentation will not be accepted.
