Title I, Part C, Education of Migratory Children: 2014-2015 Grant Allocations
Attachment A contains the 2014-2015 Title I, Part C, federal allocations for school divisions that qualify based on their enrollment of migratory students. The total amount of the allocation is available to subgrantees as of July 1, 2014, through the reimbursement process. The terms of the grant award are provided in Attachment C. The procedures and forms for submitting an application for ESEA funds are available at: http://www.doe.virginia.gov/federal_programs/esea/applications/index.shtml.
Title I, Part C, Education of Migratory Children: 2014-2015 Consortium Incentive Grants
Attachment B contains the 2014-2015 grant award amounts for Migrant Education Programs (MEPs) under the U.S. Department of Education (USED) Migrant Literacy Comprehensive Online Reading Education (MLCORE) Consortium Incentive Grant (CIG). These funds are awarded separately from the Title I, Part C – Education of Migratory Children allocations. A separate grant award notice and terms for the MLCORE CIG funds are forthcoming and will be mailed individually to each subgrantee.
Subgrantees of the MLCORE CIG funds must document the use of funds through the Title I, Part C, Education of Migratory Children, portion of the ESEA funding application. The application contains a section requiring MLCORE CIG subgrantees to provide a program overview, budget summary, and detailed budget for the use of these separate funds.
If the application for ESEA funds has already been submitted, an amended or revised application that reflects the 2014-2015 allocation for Title I, Part C, and contains the documentation required for the MLCORE CIG funds, should be submitted. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact Chris McLaughlin, Title I specialist, at (804) 225-2901 or Chris.McLaughlin@doe.virginia.gov.
