Graduate-Level Course for Educators of English Learners
As part of the Virginia Department of Education’s ongoing effort to support school division personnel in planning and implementing evidence-based instructional strategies and programs for English Learners (ELs), a graduate-level online course for educators of ELs will be offered in collaboration with George Mason University (GMU). The online graduate-level course, EDPD 501: Introduction to Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Learners, will convene on August 27, 2018, and will conclude on December 19, 2018. The Department will cover the costs for tuition and textbooks for all enrolled participants.
Course participation is limited to the first 25 educators who complete the online registration: This link takes you out of the Virginia Department of Education website.. Once a participant submits the registration information, a message will indicate that the response has been recorded. GMU will register the participant for the course and will confirm his/her attendance in early August 2018.
