2018 School Health Profiles
The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) and the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) have a long history of collaborating in order to improve both the health and educational outcomes of our children and youth. In the spring of 2018, VDH will administer the School Health Profiles questionnaires to principals and lead health educators to monitor the current status of school health education practices, policies, and activities.
In recognition that health education data enables improvements in the delivery of school health services to students, the VDOE supports the VDH’s plan to conduct the 2018 School Health Profiles. Approximately 350 schools will be randomly selected to receive the survey. Principals of selected schools will receive email notification that includes a survey link for the principal and lead health educator. The VDOE is committed to working with VDH to help promote children’s health and provide support for school division activities that enhance our ability to meet the needs of our students.
Thank you for your cooperation.
